11 patients died due to problems in oxygen supply in ICU ward of a hospital in Andhra Pradesh. The incident took place at Ruia Government Hospital in Tirupati on Monday night. Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has ordered an inquiry into the case.

Chittoor district collector M Hari Narayanan said that there was a delay of 5 minutes in reloading the oxygen cylinder. Because of this, the pressure of oxygen was reduced. Meanwhile, 11 patients died. He said that the oxygen supply started again within 5 minutes. Everything is normal now. Because of this, we were able to save more lives. About 30 doctors were immediately taken inside the ICU ward to handle the patients.

There is no lack of oxygen in the hospital
The collector said that there was no shortage of oxygen. Its supply was also being done in sufficient quantity. In this hospital, 700 corona patients were being treated on ICU and oxygen beds. 300 patients were in the normal ward.
